Synecdoche, New York

I watched Synecdoche, New York without any soaring expectations, thinking it would be basically just a reasonably good movie about the complexities of human relations. Instead, it rewarded me with an two hour dose of emotionally charged abstract symbolism, leaving one confused and feeling strangely connected at the same time.

I guess this is the paradox of the film, which is also true to the paradox of life. I don't think the trailer reveals much of the intricate fragments that make up the film. I highly recommend this film. You might hate or love it, but it would have done its job if it makes you want to kill yourself.
