flat stalker.
I have been stalking black ballet flats desperately for the past 2 months but in vain. It is appalling how tough it is to possess a pair of simple black flats.
My criteria is very simple:
- Plain and black
- Leather/satin/not patented/not shiny
- Perfect fit
- Wooden sole (for leather flats)
...and of course, me being who I am, I focus on the one with the prettiest name and prettiest shoe boxes.

...and thus I added another criteria. It must not cost more than 40-50% of Lanvin's satin flats :(. So I had to grit my teeth and move on to my next target.

Repetto, which also offers a pretty name and a pretty box (with a ribbon) and a prettier price. However, Singapore does not seem to bring in the classic black leather model, and the quality of some of the models here seems questionable. I am not sure if it is worth the risk to hunt for it online especially because of sizing issues.

...and that leaves me with French Sole or London Sole, and I have yet to check if Singapore stocks them in plain black. I am not crazy about the names nor the websites, and I doubt they offer fantastic shoe boxes, but sometimes one is left with few choices.
I think it should be made compulsory that all shoe boxes come with ribbons and bows.
Will update again on my search for the perfect flats.
